About The Position

The private duty licensed practical nurse ensures quality and safe delivery of home health care services by utilizing basic nursing skills and the nursing process. As a member of the health care team, the licensed practical nurse assists in the provision of home care services that reflect the Children's Home Care of Dayton philosophy and standards of home health and nursing care of clients. The home care licensed practical nurse works closely with the Private Duty Manager, agency staff, referring physicians and other health care professionals in providing skilled, professional nursing care. Requirements

  • Nursing experience in the area of acute care, nursing home, general pediatrics or neonatology or current pediatric home care experience.
  • Possesses and maintains a current CPR card.
  • Certification by State of Ohio Practical Nursing Board.
  • Current pharmacology card.
  • Maintaining a valid Ohio driver’s license.
  • Minimum of 21 years old.
  • Meeting all eligibility criteria for coverage under the hospital’s insurance policy.

  • Professional certification within 3 years of hire.
