Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the LPN performs patient care activities for which they have been prepared, within the scope of the law. They function as an integral part of the nursing team, working with the registered nurse in caring for critically ill patients and those requiring detailed instruction or complex treatments. This role involves caring for patients across all age groups, including newborn, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients. The LPN is expected to be self-directed in providing sub-acute care or performing routine duties.
