Technician, Perioperative Per Diem Operating Room - Mullica Hill
About The Position
Under general supervision, this role is responsible for the clean-up and preparation of operating rooms and associated surgical areas. The technician maintains a safe and sanitary environment in the Operating Room by performing cleaning and disinfecting tasks, proper storage and handling of equipment, and stocking supplies according to hospital/department policies and procedures. The role reports to the Nurse Manager and assists nursing managers with various resources as requested. The technician must demonstrate the ability to organize time effectively to complete work assignments within the shift and perform assigned duties to assist nursing staff in the safe and efficient delivery of patient care.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- BLS required after 3 months.

- Previous experience in an Operating Room preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the clean-up of the operating rooms and associated surgical areas.
- Prepares rooms for surgical procedures.
- Maintains a safe and sanitary environment on the Operating Room by performing cleaning and disinfecting tasks.
- Ensures proper storage and handling of equipment.
- Stocks supplies according to hospital/department policy and procedures.
- Reports to and receives direction from Nurse Manager at beginning of shift.
- Assists the Assistant Nurse Manager or nursing managers with various resources as requested.
- Demonstrates ability to organize time shown by completion of work assignments within shift.
- Performs assigned duties to assist the nursing staff in safe, efficient delivery of patient care.
