About The Position

This is a part-time position (0.6 FTE) working day-shift, Monday through Friday, up to 48 hours per pay period. The role involves delivering high-quality, personalized dermatology care within a supportive and collaborative clinic environment. The LPN/CMA will support dermatology providers by scribing during procedures and patient visits, preparing and assisting during dermatologic procedures, managing patient flow, and handling administrative tasks such as in-basket items and patient calls. Compliance with CLIA/OSHA standards and maintenance of surgical instruments are also key responsibilities. The position also involves assisting with specialized dermatology programs like the iPledge Accutane registry and pathology processes, and providing patient education and post-care instructions.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Practical Nursing or Medical Assistant program
  • Must have and maintain a current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or Medical Assistant certification
  • BLS Healthcare Provider certification

Responsibilities

  • Provide empathetic, high-quality patient care within our Dermatology clinic setting
  • Support dermatology providers by scribing during procedures and patient visits
  • Prepare and assist during dermatologic procedures, including biopsies, excisions, cryotherapy and MOHS surgeries
  • Manage patient flow, exam room preparation, and supply organization
  • Handle in-basket items, patient calls, and medication prior authorizations
  • Ensure compliance with CLIA/OSHA standards and maintain surgical instruments
  • Assist with specialized dermatology programs, including the iPledge Accutane registry and pathology processes
  • Provide thorough patient education and post-care instructions
  • Collaborate closely with dermatology providers and the broader specialty care team
