About The Position

This position is filled by a licensed practical nurse who, as a result of educational and clinical experience, possesses the advanced knowledge and clinical skills necessary to provide expert nursing care and ensure quality-focused and cost-effective care delivery outcomes. The LPN is responsible for adhering to all standards of nursing care, promoting a team effort among co-workers, and knowing, owning, and energizing the vision, mission, values, and standards of the hospital.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current Arkansas or Compact State Practical Nurse license in good standing.
BLS certification required.
Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
Basic computer knowledge required.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, solve problems, and make decisions.
Ability to stand and walk, bend, squat, and twist for up to or exceeding 8–10 hours during shifts.
Occasionally lift 50 pounds or more of equipment.
Ability to push a wheelchair weighing in excess of 150 pounds with a patient.
Occasionally lift patients with assistance weighing 125 pounds or more.
Spend eight hours or more in front of a computer, monitor, or similar screen using a keyboard and/or mouse.
Ability to respond quickly in emergencies and handle highly stressful situations efficiently and with composure.
