Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital’s Gynecology & Women's Health is nationally recognized and provides comprehensive gynecologic care. From common to complex gynecologic conditions, the department offers evidence-based care to its patients. As an LPN supporting Gynecology Surgery, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, high-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you will directly support the practices of two colorectal surgeons while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and the educational resources offered throughout the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this role works days from 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Accredited LPN program
  • Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Knowledge of infection control practices
  • Computer literacy

Nice To Haves

  • One year of clinical experience
  • Previous Gynecology experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients.
  • Administer medication.
  • Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date documentation in medical records and files.
  • Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
  • Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
  • Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
  • Follow Code Blue protocol.
  • This position requires knowledge of all aspects of patient care including assessing; planning, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the patient's progress through the entire continuum of car in conjunction with the R.N. or physician.
