About The Position

As an LPN for Breast Surgery, you will assist fellow caregivers in delivering exceptional, high-quality care to a diverse patient population. This role involves directly supporting the practices of two colorectal surgeons, offering opportunities to enhance nursing skills through hands-on experience and educational resources within the Cleveland Clinic system. The work schedule for this position is days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Cleveland Clinic is a nonprofit multispecialty academic medical center, founded in 1921, integrating clinical and hospital care with research and education. Requirements

  • Graduate of Accredited LPN program
  • Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Knowledge of infection control practices
  • Computer literacy

Nice To Haves

  • One year of outpatient clinical experience
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Experience with adult populations
  • Experience with EPIC
  • Breast surgery background

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients
  • Administer medication
  • Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date documentation in medical records and files
  • Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions
  • Implement pain management assessments and documentation
  • Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO
  • Follow Code Blue protocol
