About The Position

Lower Bucks Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is a community hospital serving the Lower Bucks County region with medical, surgical, and emergency care. The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills within the scope of practice. Care addresses patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general needs and communication needs of patients and families. The role works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and requires knowledge of EMTALA regulations and the triage process in the emergency room setting.

Requirements

• Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain it current.

Nice To Haves

• IV certification upon hire preferred.
• Minimum one year of experience in an applicable setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect patient care within the scope of practice.
• Address the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of patient care.
• Meet the communication needs of patients and their families.
• Work under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrate knowledge of EMTALA regulations and the triage process in the emergency room setting.
