About The Position
Saint Clare's Health is seeking an LPN for Behavioral Health, in Children's Crisis Intervention Services. The Licensed Vocational Nurse/Licensed Psychiatric Technician provides direct and indirect patient care services requiring technical and manual skills within the scope of practice. Care must address patients’ psychosocial, physical, and general needs and meet communication needs of patients and families. The position works under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse and requires knowledge of EMTALA regulations and the triage process in an ER setting.
Requirements
- Current and valid state license as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Licensed Psychiatric Technician.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- IV certification upon hire preferred.
- Minimum one year of experience in an applicable setting preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect patient care within the scope of practice.
- Address the psychosocial, physical, and general aspects of patient care.
- Meet the communication needs of patients and their families.
- Perform duties under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Demonstrate knowledge of EMTALA regulations and the ER triage process.
