About The Position

Administers acute nursing care in an inpatient hospital setting under the supervision of a registered nurse. Participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient care through collaborative efforts with health team members, in accordance with the nursing process and standards of care and practice. The role requires familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures in the field, and competence in meeting the age-specific needs of the assigned unit. Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function.

Requirements

• Graduate of a vocational/technical nursing training program or equivalent education that meets eligibility requirements for LPN licensure.
• Licensed Practical Nurse license in the State of Idaho.
• BLS certification required.
• Able to lift or move up to 50 lbs.
• Able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position.
• Able to stoop, crouch, or bend.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the health, comfort, and safety of patients.
• Performs a variety of tasks and other related duties as assigned.
• Participates in the implementation and evaluation of patient care in collaboration with health team members.
• Meets the age-specific needs of the assigned unit.
