About The Position

KYROS is a boutique, fully remote actuarial firm specializing in loyalty programs. We utilize a modern, technical approach combining actuarial theory, machine learning, and big data to help loyalty programs measure and optimize their economic value. Operating like a startup, we value efficiency, ownership, and end-to-end execution. We leverage AI to enhance human potential, allowing our team to focus on complex problem-solving, innovation, and relationship building. This role is ideal for individuals comfortable working with AI, who thrive on variety, and enjoy balancing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience, ideally in a consulting or client-facing analytics role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, economics, finance, or another quantitative field; candidates with strong analytical experience and a different academic background are also welcome.
  • Demonstrated experience in a client-facing consulting or advisory capacity — leading engagements, managing scope, and being the go-to person for client problems.
  • Comfortable working with large transactional datasets, aggregating, structuring, and interpreting data.
  • Demonstrated experience owning client relationships end-to-end, setting expectations, managing scope, and delivering results on tight timelines.
  • Ability to connect technical or financial analysis to client business goals.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, large dataset manipulation).
  • Strong PowerPoint skills, with a sharp sense for good charts, slides, and client stories.
  • Experience with project management tools and data visualization software (e.g., Power BI).
  • Working understanding of predictive modeling concepts, sufficient to guide, question, and validate work performed by analysts and data scientists.
  • Ability to clearly distill complex, technical concepts into language non-technical audiences can understand and act on.
  • Strong communicator.
  • Growth mindset.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity and little day-to-day guidance.
  • Comfortable and enthusiastic about using AI tools as part of the daily workflow.

Nice To Haves

  • Actuarial background or exam progress (P&C track).
  • Experience in loyalty, airline, hospitality, retail, or banking industries.
  • Prior experience in a small or startup-like consulting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Translate client business problems into structured quantitative analyses.
  • Build and manage project plans to keep analyses on track.
  • Dig into the outputs of predictive models to sanity-check results and understand drivers.
  • Synthesize results into clear narratives for non-technical clients.
  • Present directly to clients, fielding questions and adjusting the story.
  • Handle ad hoc client questions and solve novel problems.
  • Contribute to internal tools and improve client deliverables.
  • Help define what a great client engagement looks like as the company grows.
