About The Position

KYROS is a boutique, fully remote actuarial firm specializing in loyalty programs. We utilize a modern, technical approach combining actuarial theory, machine learning, and big data to help loyalty programs measure and optimize their economic value. Requirements

  • At least 5 years of professional experience, ideally in FP&A, financial analysis, or a related finance/strategy role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in math, statistics, economics, finance, or another quantitative field; strong analytical experience with a different academic background is also considered.
  • Direct experience with a loyalty, rewards, or points program (e.g., airline, hotel, retailer, bank) with a strong understanding of its economics and operations.
  • Comfort working with large transactional datasets, including aggregation, structuring, and interpretation.
  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end relationship management, expectation setting, scope management, and delivering results under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to connect technical or financial analysis to client business goals.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, complex formulas, large dataset manipulation).
  • Strong PowerPoint skills, including creating effective charts, slides, and client stories.
  • Experience with project management tools and data visualization software (e.g., Power BI).
  • Working understanding of predictive modeling concepts to guide and validate work.
  • Ability to clearly distill complex, technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong communicator with a growth mindset.
  • Comfort operating with ambiguity and minimal day-to-day guidance.
  • Comfortable and enthusiastic about using AI tools in the daily workflow.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a client-facing consulting or advisory role.
  • Actuarial background or exam progress.
  • Prior experience in a small or startup-like consulting environment.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of clients.
  • Partner with analysts and data scientists to scope and execute quantitative analyses using machine learning.
  • Estimate and forecast loyalty program liability, customer lifetime value (CLV), and other key drivers of program economics.
  • Translate client business problems into structured quantitative analyses and manage project plans.
  • Analyze and validate outputs of predictive models to understand underlying drivers.
  • Synthesize results into clear narratives, building presentations and recommendations for non-technical clients.
  • Present directly to clients, answer questions, and adjust communication based on client needs.
  • Handle ad hoc client requests and solve novel problems.
  • Participate in team standups to maintain organization and manage workloads.
  • Contribute to improving client deliverables and internal tools.
  • Help define client engagement standards as the firm grows.
