About The Position

Scheck Hillel Community School, a large Orthodox Jewish community school located in sunny North Miami Beach, Florida is currently accepting resumes for an experienced full time Lower School Interventionist for the 2025-2026 school year. The Interventionist will play a crucial role in supporting students in lower school who are facing challenges in foundational academic skills, with a particular emphasis on literacy. This position involves providing targeted interventions, fostering a positive learning environment, and collaborating with faculty to ensure students receive the necessary support to thrive.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or a related field
Experience working with young learners, particularly in literacy development
Strong understanding of assessment tools and intervention strategies
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Passion for helping students succeed and a commitment to fostering a positive learning environment

Responsibilities

Administer assessments to evaluate students’ literacy skills and overall academic performance
Analyze assessment data to inform instructional practices and interventions
Develop and implement individualized intervention plans based on assessment outcomes
Regularly monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as needed to ensure growth
Conduct initial screenings to identify students in need of intervention support
Communicate progress updates to parents and teachers effectively
Work closely with classroom teachers to identify at-risk students and share strategies for supporting their learning
Collaborate with special education staff, reading specialists, and other relevant personnel to coordinate support services
Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of school-wide literacy initiatives
Provide direct instruction and small group intervention focused on literacy development
Create engaging and effective instructional materials tailored to the needs of earners
Foster a positive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence
Other duties as assigned by supervisor or designee
