Lower Elementary Instructional Assistant
About The Position
East Cooper Montessori Charter School (ECMCS) in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, is hiring a full-time Instructional Assistant to partner with classroom teachers in every aspect of the educational experience. Montessori educators make decisions regarding curriculum, programming, organization, and communication. The role supports students’ academic and social needs, helps organize classroom activities, supervises lunch and recess, and contributes to a positive, creative classroom environment. The ideal candidate communicates effectively with children and adults, is organized, and is willing to go the extra mile to support the school’s mission. ECMCS is a public Montessori school established in 2003, serving 450 students from ages 3 through 8th grade. The school describes itself as valuing and investing in people, and considers providing an excellent workplace for staff as important as providing an excellent educational setting. This full-time position includes retirement and full benefits. Work hours are 7:15 a.m. to 3:15 p.m.
