About The Position

The Instructional Assistant supports elementary students academically, socially, and emotionally in an inclusive classroom environment. The role works alongside teachers to help students access learning, participate in engaging lessons, build problem-solving skills, and develop positive behaviors. The assistant contributes to a calm, respectful, and inclusive classroom community and collaborates regularly with teachers and staff to support student growth. The position requires willingness to become CPI certified.

Responsibilities

• Support students in completing classroom assignments and accessing learning.
• Work alongside teachers to implement engaging, student-centered lessons.

• Support students in developing problem-solving skills and positive behaviors.
• Use proactive and responsive strategies, including de-escalation techniques, to support student success.
• Collaborate and communicate regularly with teachers and staff to support student growth.
