About The Position

The Lowboy Truck Driver transports equipment and materials to and from specified locations using trucks and lowboy trailers. The driver secures loads for transit, loads and unloads equipment, maintains DOT-compliant records, and checks vehicles, trailers, and supplies for roadworthiness. The role also includes notifying a supervisor about needed repairs or service and assisting in the shop when not driving. This is a full-time position.

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL and a satisfactory driving record.
• Familiarity with lowboy, flatbed, dump truck, and other equipment and/or material hauling methods.
• History of working with different forms of heavy equipment.
• At least 1 year of previous experience hauling heavy equipment.
• Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and quality.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Maintain a good attitude toward work.

Responsibilities

• Drive trucks to deliver equipment and/or materials to and from specified locations.
• Position chains, straps, and binders to secure loads during transit.
• Load and unload equipment on lowboy trailers.
• Maintain logs and records in compliance with DOT regulations.
• Maintain and check the truck, trailer, and supplies to ensure roadworthiness.
• Notify the supervisor of needed or anticipated vehicle repairs and service.
• Help in the shop when not driving.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
