About The Position

Amteck, LLC is seeking an Estimator for its Technologies division. The role works with internal stakeholders and customers to price infrastructure and systems projects, including Access Control, Intrusion, and CCTV. Estimators manage multiple bids and prioritize them according to customer and departmental needs and time constraints. They attend site surveys, pre-bid meetings, and other project or client meetings as needed, including presenting proposals and scopes of work. The position is based in the Lexington office, reports to the Regional Manager, and requires minimal travel as needed. The ideal candidate has a strong background in low-voltage installation on large commercial projects, is well-versed in ANSI/TIA standards and BICSI best practices, and brings strong communication, risk-management, and conflict-resolution skills.

Requirements

2–5 years of experience estimating low-voltage commercial projects.
Experience working on heavy commercial or light industrial projects with budgets ranging from $100,000 to $2 million.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Fluency in ANSI/TIA standards and BICSI best practices.
Strong conflict-resolution and risk-management skills.
Demonstrated experience with MS Office, Visio, and estimating software.

Nice To Haves

Experience pricing installation of Access Control, Intrusion, and CCTV systems; preferred but not required.
Experience with Accubid and Accubid Anywhere; strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Price the design and execution of large commercial projects, including special-systems infrastructure and components, access control, intrusion, and CCTV.
Manage multiple project bids simultaneously and prioritize them based on customer and departmental needs.
Attend site surveys, pre-bid meetings, and project meetings as needed.
Identify and communicate project risks.
Organize and prepare scopes of work and price proposals.
Present proposals and scopes of work to customers efficiently.
Prepare complete estimates and pricing for the required disciplines of work.
Analyze project components that may help the company become the successful bidder.
Review successful bids and proposals with the project management team.
Assist with change-order pricing as needed.
