About The Position

Windsor Hospitality is hiring a Lounge Bartender at the Renaissance Asheville, a 278-room hotel in downtown Asheville. The bartender creates cocktails and serves wine and beer while maintaining an attractive, organized bar and providing warm, knowledgeable hospitality to lounge guests. The role includes handling payments, maintaining bar stock, preparing garnishes and snacks as needed, and complying with laws and regulations governing beverage service. This is a full-time position with schedules that may vary based on business needs.

Requirements

Knowledge of cocktail preparation, wine, and beer service, and ability to follow standard recipes consistently.
Basic math skills for totaling costs, processing transactions, and making accurate change.
Physical stamina to stand or walk for extended periods throughout a shift.
Manual dexterity to handle glassware, dishes, money, and bar merchandise quickly and accurately.
Ability to lift and carry heavy trays and bar supplies as needed.
Flexibility to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, as business needs require.

Responsibilities

Prepare cocktails and other beverages using standard recipes.
Serve wine and draught or bottled beer to lounge guests.
Collect payments, process transactions, and provide accurate change.
Order and requisition liquor and bar supplies to maintain adequate stock.
Arrange bottled goods and glassware in an attractive, organized display.
Slice and pit fruit for drink garnishes as needed.
Prepare bar snacks and appetizers, such as pickles, cheese, and cold meats, as needed.
Comply with local, state, and federal laws and regulations governing beverage service.
Provide guests with information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
