About The Position

The Lot Porter helps ensure customer satisfaction by keeping vehicles and the dealership lot clean and organized. The role oversees incoming vehicle deliveries, organizes vehicles on delivery or after sales to use lot space effectively, and services cars to prevent deterioration and maintain a spotless appearance. The position may also involve additional duties as needed to meet business and organizational needs. The ideal candidate is energetic, comfortable in a fast-paced environment, and has a valid driver’s license. They should have strong communication, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills, along with a positive attitude. Candidates must be able to safely maneuver vehicles in tight spaces; the ability to drive both manual and automatic transmissions is also noted.

Requirements

Unrestricted driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to safely operate motor vehicles in tight and small spaces.
Professional and dependable.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Basic computer and internet skills.

Responsibilities

Inspect delivered vehicles for damage, assign stock control numbers, and catalog and store keys.
Service vehicles with gas, oil, and water.
Move sold vehicles to maximize space and keep the lot in order.
Deliver sold vehicles.
Complete required documentation in compliance with regulations and standards.
Help maintain the lot’s appearance by cleaning driveways and sidewalks and removing snow and debris as necessary.
Follow safety and security procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
