Lot Operations Specialist II (Manheim)
About The Position
This role is responsible for organizing and maintaining the placement of vehicles within the designated zone or moving them to defined areas. The specialist will conduct walks to identify vehicle conditions (runners/non-runners), oversee lot coordination to ensure a continuous flow of traffic, and manage keys for unsafe vehicles, reporting issues to management. They will monitor traffic for potential blockages, direct drivers on vehicle assignments, and move running vehicles to their proper destinations. Additionally, the specialist will direct transporters to the correct drop zones, report transport damage, and confirm if delivered vehicles are inoperable. Accurate vehicle information must be input into a handheld device, and the employee will cooperate with safety leadership to support safety activities and champion Cox/Manheim values. Other duties as assigned by management may be required.
Requirements
- Basic mechanical knowledge of identifying (i.e., flat tires, low gas, jump starting vehicles)
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record.
- Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Effective verbal communication and customer service skills.
- Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test.
- Applicants must currently be authorized to work in the United States for any employer without current or future sponsorship. No OPT, CPT, STEM/OPT or visa sponsorship now or in future.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1 year customer service experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Organize and maintain the placement of vehicles within the designated zone or move to defined area.
- Conduct walks to identify vehicles condition as runners/non-runners.
- Oversee lot coordination to maintain the continuous flow of traffic.
- Pull and maintain the keys for any unsafe vehicles and report to management.
- Monitor traffic identifying potential traffic blockage.
- Direct drivers on vehicles assignment.
- Move running vehicles and stage them in a safe arrangement to their proper work destinations.
- Direct transporters to the proper car drop zone. Report transport damage as needed. Confirm with the transporters that all vehicles being delivered are inoperable.
- Input accurate vehicle information into handheld device using crew management reporting problems and additional notes.
- Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with safety excellence.

- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
