This role is responsible for orienting and instructing new drivers, assisting the supervisor in assigning and directing work, and ensuring the proper flow of vehicles. The specialist will maintain logs of vehicle stock numbers and locations, communicate schedules and assignments to crew members, and manage vans and transport drivers. Key duties include ensuring timely pick-up and drop-off of employees and vehicles, shuttling employees to and from auxiliary parking lots on sale days, and providing transportation to employees parking inventoried vehicles at remote sites. The role also involves picking up and dropping off employees and other Auction personnel to/from various locations. Daily maintenance and routine checks of the van, including cleaning and servicing with fuel, lubricants, and accessories, are required. A strong commitment to safety is essential, involving adherence to all safety and health procedures and cooperation with the Market Safety Manager. The specialist will work with management to review work volumes, plan staffing levels for efficiency and quality, and monitor departmental performance against KPIs. This role effectively leads the team by setting an example, championing company values, and ensuring respectful treatment of all employees, while also enforcing company policies and procedures. Overtime may be required as business needs dictate.
