About The Position

This role involves reading production schedules, customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved or distributed. The Lot Hand will move materials from receiving to storage or other designated areas, organize inventory in a logical and concise sequence, and assemble customer orders (including trucks) from stock and/or customers. This position will also assist with loading onto vehicles, compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications, and maintain the premises. Additionally, the Lot Hand will help maintain work equipment by properly storing and cleaning equipment after use.

Requirements

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to apply understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instruction.
• Ability to do manual work requiring strenuous physical exertion, e.g., continuous walking, bending, standing, pushing, pulling, or lifting.
