About The Position

Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points. Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities such as property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons or unusual occurrences. Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities. Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises. Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons. Respond to alarm company off hours calls. Requirements

Knowledge of security procedures
Ability to work effectively under stressful conditions

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel to operate office equipment, hardware, keyboards, or controls, or writing implements; reach with hands and arms to file or handle documents; stoop, kneel or crouch to file or reach files, data, or electrical outlets.
Must be able to speak and listen on the phone.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
High School Diploma
2 years’ experience as a security officer or law enforcement officer
