The Loss Prevention Attendant is responsible for conducting investigations and gathering evidence related to theft, fraud, or lost items, as well as handling various guest complaints and incidents such as noise complaints, assaults, and food poisoning. This role involves interviewing relevant parties, assisting with and notifying appropriate authorities in case of accidents or incidents, and completing detailed incident reports. The attendant will also manage business interruptions and complaints, including dealing with suspicious individuals, civil disturbances, noise complaints, and intoxicated individuals. A key part of the role is to escort unwelcome persons from the property and to de-escalate guest or employee disturbances, summoning authorities if necessary and documenting all incidents. The position requires adherence to all company and safety/security policies, reporting accidents and unsafe conditions, maintaining confidentiality, and protecting company assets. Additionally, the role involves providing excellent guest service, communicating professionally, maintaining positive working relationships, and utilizing computer systems for work-related information. Some states may have additional licensing requirements. The role also involves visual inspection of items and the ability to move at a speed required for work situations, including running and walking. Extended periods of standing, sitting, or walking are expected, as is the ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance and over 75 pounds with assistance. Fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and the ability to navigate various physical environments, including narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and uneven or slippery surfaces, are also necessary. This includes reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Other reasonable duties may be assigned by supervisors.
