This position is responsible for responding to and attending to guest repair requests, communicating with guests to resolve maintenance issues, and performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment. The role involves inspecting tools and equipment, operating shut-off valves, maintaining inventory, and communicating daily activities. The Engineer I will also perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and light bulb/A/C filter replacement. Basic repairs on various equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items are expected. The role also includes programming TVs, performing inventory duties, and using the Lockout/Tagout system. Additionally, the position involves performing repairs on landscaping and external sprinklers, and utilizing basic computer skills for maintenance tasks. The role requires adherence to all company and safety policies, including reporting hazards, completing safety training, and proper storage of materials. Maintaining a professional appearance, confidentiality, and protecting company assets are also key. The position involves direct guest interaction, addressing service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and thanking guests. Developing positive working relationships, supporting team goals, and communicating effectively are essential. Physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance, moving up and down stairs and ladders, and performing various physical movements. Basic computer skills for data entry are also necessary.
