About The Position
The Los Lunas Team Member supports car wash operations by safely preparing and loading vehicles, assisting guests, operating and cleaning car wash equipment, and maintaining the facility. The role is accountable for the stated KPIs and company values: Excellence, Hard work, Stewardship, Difference, and Community. It is eligible for cash and digital tips. Team Members greet guests, guide vehicles through the wash process, provide vacuum service, explain wash packages and memberships, and support member visit success. They perform safety checks, communicate vehicle and equipment information to the crew, respond to tunnel incidents, and complete shift reporting and closing tasks. The position also includes facility cleaning, training participation, and following company policies and safety procedures.
Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to remain on feet for 100% of the workday.
- Willing to work in all weather conditions, including cold, heat, wet weather, rain, and snow.
- Attend mandatory training sessions and team meetings.
Responsibilities
- Meet the stated KPIs: prepare and load 100% of vehicles safely and complete 100% of daily operational tasks.
- Know the property layout and safety practices, what vehicles or conditions not to wash, tunnel equipment, emergency stop locations, and membership management.
- Greet guests approaching the car wash tunnel and engage with each guest using the 4 Steps of Service.
- Safely guide and load vehicles according to vehicle size; perform vehicle safety inspections and make key adjustments to car wash equipment.
- Use the bug prep gun to prepare vehicles for washing and remove mud from wheel wells when appropriate.
- Handle tunnel incidents effectively and safely, and communicate key vehicle information and equipment retractions to the crew.
- Provide vacuum service and observe the vacuum area to support guest satisfaction.
- Explain the three single-wash packages, inform retail guests about memberships, present the company’s Difference, and aid member visit success.
- Train new Team Members using approved training modules.
- Use License Plate Recognition and RFID sticker reads as part of membership operations.
- Follow the LEAP Conflict Resolution process.
- Complete the daily shift report and participate in the nightly close-down checklist.
- Maintain a clean, organized car wash facility; assist with cleaning equipment, walls, trenches, vacuums, trash cans, and the lot.
- Learn to safely open and close the car wash with leadership; learn backroom safety and equipment practices.
- Safely use ladders and engage emergency stops while cleaning.
- Follow company policies, procedures, safety standards, codes of conduct, and Champion safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt, and harsh chemicals.
- Attend all mandatory training sessions and team meetings and participate in cleaning.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
