The Long Term Substitute Teacher will engage students in learning, manage student behavior, and prepare them to become productive citizens. This role involves creating a flexible learning environment, establishing rapport with students, and motivating them to develop skills and knowledge. The teacher will also establish positive relationships with parents and staff, supervise students, develop lesson plans, and deliver instruction within curriculum guidelines. A key aspect of the role is providing accommodations and modifications for diverse learners, including those with IEPs, 504 plans, or other legally mandated documents. The teacher will collaborate with colleagues to address instructional issues, respond to inquiries from parents and guardians, and foster a culture of empowerment, inclusiveness, and support for all children.
