About The Position
Laurus Academy is hiring a long-term substitute teacher to provide temporary coverage for a leave in Special Education. The role involves following lesson plans assigned by the teacher, providing clear instruction, helping scholars understand subject matter, and maintaining classroom discipline and control. The substitute is expected to demonstrate moral focus and personal values to all stakeholders, and to bring initiative, effective classroom management, strong leadership, and a passion for educating students. The daily substitute rate is $160.00. This role is not eligible for benefits.
