About The Position
Albemarle County Public Schools is hiring a long-term substitute Special Education Teacher (Curriculum) at Hollymead Elementary School for the 2026–27 school year, with an estimated start date of November 9. The pay rate is $271.73 per day. The role supports the division’s goals of high-quality teaching and learning for all students, closing equity and achievement gaps, and helping students become lifelong contributors and leaders. Candidates should be prepared to engage with the division’s Culturally Responsive Teaching model and Equity Mission Statement. Candidates must hold or be eligible for a Virginia teaching certificate with an endorsement in Special Education.
