About The Position

Milan Area Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate special education teacher to serve in a long-term position at Symons Elementary School from approximately January 4, 2027 through March 25, 2027. The teacher will support students with diverse learning needs in grades 2-4, providing specialized instruction in a teacher consultant role, both with consult and direct services. Some of this instruction is provided in a co-taught and in a small group fashion. The ideal candidate is patient, flexible, and committed to helping every student grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Requirements

• Valid Michigan Teacher Certification with Special Education Endorsement.
• Experience working with elementary-aged students.
• Ability to provide consult and direct services.
• Experience with co-teaching and small group instruction.
