About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated, learner-centered educator to serve as a long-term substitute for Middle School Social Studies. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong instructional practices, the ability to build positive relationships with middle school learners, and a commitment to working collaboratively within a team environment.

Requirements

• Valid Pennsylvania Secondary Social Studies (7-12) certification required.
• Ability to effectively implement district-approved curriculum.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively with students, staff, and families.

• Prior experience teaching secondary Social Studies preferred.
• Strong understanding of the academic, social, and emotional needs of middle school students.
• Differentiated instruction to meet diverse learner needs.
• Use of formative and summative assessments, including rubrics.

• Inclusive practices to support all learners.
• Comfort with instructional technology.
