About The Position

Fresh Coat is seeking experienced painting 1099 subcontractors for long-term relationships on residential and commercial projects in the Stamford-Greenwich area. The company provides paint and materials, while subcontractors supply labor, tools, equipment, and transportation. Responsibilities include preparing work areas, surface preparation, applying paint, maintaining cleanliness, and completing projects within allotted timeframes to meet PCA Standards.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional painting experience.
Must have an established painting business that is fully insured (general liability).
Must carry Workers' Compensation coverage (or a valid exemption).
Must be certified as OSHA Training and EPA Lead-Safe.
Must have your own transportation.
Must own all necessary painting equipment (ladders, rollers, brushes, drop cloths, sprayers, etc.).
Must be willing to pass a basic background check.
Must reside in or be willing to work within New Haven & Fairfield County, CT or Putnam & Westchester County, NY.

Nice To Haves

Have your own painting crew (2-3+ painters).
Experience managing people and running jobs.
Commercial Experience: Dryfall, Spray booths, Metal roofs, Wrought iron, Pro Coat systems, etc.

Responsibilities

Properly prepare the surrounding area with appropriate protective coverings.
Prepare surfaces by identifying and correcting imperfections.
Apply correct paint material coverage on a clean surface.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
Complete the project within the allotted productivity time, resulting in a minimum Level 3 Finish based on PCA Standards.
