About The Position
Leggett & Platt Flooring Products is seeking a Long Haul Driver in Tracy, CA. Leggett & Platt Inc. is the largest manufacturer of carpet cushion and hard surface underlayment in the United States. Our Flooring businesses manufacture and distribute foam, rubber, and fiber-based flooring underlayment for residential and commercial use. Our flooring underlayment products provide support, cushioning, and noise reduction under virtually any finished flooring material in your home or business. Requirements
- Must have good communication skills.
- Must be able to solve problems and work with internal and external customers.
- Must work well under pressure.
- Must be able to read, write, and do simple math.
- Must be able to stand entire shift, bend, twist, and lift heavy weight repeatedly.
- Must adhere to all safety and environmental policies.
Responsibilities
- Perform pre-trip inspections of both tractor and trailer.
- Verify trailer and seal match paperwork; call dispatch for discrepancies.
- Complete equipment inspection sheet noting all damages and place in in-bound load box before departure.
- Enter status in on-board computer or logbook, start trip sheet, and proceed to the first delivery.
- Continue the process throughout the day.
- Assist in the offload of product and verify product delivered and count.
- For deliveries with COD, ensure correct amount is picked up before making delivery.
- Maintain "Logbook", maximize "backhauls", and fuel up at specified terminals.
