About The Position

Logistics/Warehouse Specialists to support Supply Operations at Fort Bliss, Texas. The Logistics/Warehouse Specialist will conduct daily material warehouse and supply operations and related Army logistics requirements at a warehouse activity. The Logistics/Warehouse Specialist will ensure materials (to include various Hazardous materials (HAZMAT)) are properly received, stored, tracked, inventoried, issued and maintained in accordance with Army regulations, environmental standards, and installation procedures. The individual will also ensure compliance with all requisite safety, security, and training requirements.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of warehouse, logistics, or supply experience.
  • High School Diploma
  • Secret Clearance required
  • Experience with inventory management and material handling.
  • Ability to operate in a structured warehouse environment.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
  • Ability to follow written procedures and OSHA compliant safety requirements.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain installation access.
  • U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

  • Prior U.S. Army supply or warehouse experience.
  • Experience supporting hazardous material operations.
  • Forklift certification.
  • Experience using Army warehouse inventory systems (e.g. GCSS-A, LMP, etc.)
  • HAZWOPER certification.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, store, and issue parts and materials.
  • Maintain warehouse organization and inventory accuracy.
  • Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation activities.
  • Manage Material Release Orders (MRO)
  • Manage and execute Care of Stocks in Storage (COSIS) program for warehouse materiel
  • Operate material handling equipment and warehouse equipment.
  • Label, package, and prepare materials for storage or issue.
  • Maintain operational logs and warehouse documentation using Army Management Information systems.
  • Follow all environmental, OSHA safety, and hazardous material handling procedures.
  • Assist with loading, unloading, and material movement operations.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas.
  • Support Government inspections and operational requirements.
