About The Position

The Logistics Supervisor is a key operational leader responsible for end‑to-end performance across the warehouse, gypsum process, and box building operations. This role drives safe, efficient, and customer‑focused execution by leading people, optimizing processes, and delivering results in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. Reporting directly to the Plant Operations Leader, this position plays a critical role in ensuring reliable shipping performance, strong inventory control, and continuous improvement across 24/7 operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, logistics, warehousing, or a related industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety through daily actions and leadership behaviors.
  • Strong operational and process‑ownership mindset.
  • Effective communicator capable of aligning teams to daily goals and priorities.
  • Analytical and data‑driven problem solver.
  • Ability to manage change across multiple functions.
  • Customer‑focused leader who mentors and develops others.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior people leadership experience strongly preferred.
  • Working knowledge of SAP preferred.
  • Familiarity with TPM or continuous improvement systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example in promoting a strong safety culture where safety is priority.
  • Ensure compliance with all plant and role‑specific safety policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Proactively identify, investigate, and address safety concerns while maintaining a clean, organized, and environmentally compliant workplace.
  • Own daily logistics, warehouse, shipping, and box building operations to ensure on‑time delivery, inventory accuracy, and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop, implement, and manage inventory control strategies, workload planning, and shift schedules to meet production and shipping demands.
  • Oversee SAP transactions and systems to maintain data integrity and operational accuracy.
  • Anticipate operational risks and lead business continuity planning, including documentation of critical processes.
  • Lead and develop a team of approximately 30 employees, including areas operating 24/7/365.
  • Establish clear expectations, performance metrics, and accountability to drive results.
  • Build team capability through training systems focused on safety, skill flexibility (polyvalency), and engagement.
  • Foster an inclusive, collaborative environment that supports teamwork, development, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive productivity, quality, and efficiency improvements aligned with TPM principles.
  • Maintain high product quality standards, targeting zero shipping errors and leading root‑cause problem solving when issues occur.
  • Partner cross‑functionally with customer service, transportation, sales, and regional planning teams.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with carriers, customers, and internal stakeholders.
