Summer Logistics Intern
About The Position
Looking for a summer internship where you'll do more than just observe? As a Logistics Summer Intern, you'll work alongside experienced transportation professionals, learn the fundamentals of freight brokerage and supply chain management, and contribute directly to the success of our customers and carrier partners. Whether you're interested in logistics, sales, operations, supply chain, or business development, this internship provides valuable exposure to multiple areas of the business while helping you build skills that will set you apart after graduation.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Communications, Marketing, or a related field with an anticipated graduation of May 2028
- Strong work ethic and eagerness to learn
- Demonstrated leadership, academic achievement, or involvement in extracurricular activities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
Nice To Haves
- Previous internship, customer service, sales, or leadership experience

Responsibilities
- Participate in comprehensive training sessions
- Learn the fundamentals of freight brokerage and logistics
- Shadow multiple departments to understand the full shipment lifecycle
- Gain insight into how teams collaborate to serve customers and carriers
- Source carrier capacity and build transportation solutions
- Negotiate pricing and service agreements
- Monitor shipments and ensure timely execution
- Learn industry best practices and transportation terminology
- Communicate shipment updates to customers
- Track and freight movements
- Resolve routine transportation issues
- Build and schedule shipments
- Develop customer service and account management skills
- Supporting carrier sales and operations activities
- Learning effective sales and communication techniques
- Listening to and analyzing sales calls
- Understanding TransLoop's value proposition and service offerings
- Building prospect lists and qualifying leads
- Exploring the full sales cycle and business development process
