About The Position

Trescal is hiring a Logistics Specialist for its Irving, Texas location. The role supports shipping and receiving operations, including preparing equipment for shipment, processing inbound orders and vendor deliveries, researching shipping options, and resolving shipping claims. The position also serves as a backup driver for transporting materials and equipment to and from customer sites. Candidates should have experience in a production-based environment, data entry, and shipping and receiving.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Clean driver's license and driving record.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good attention to detail and thoroughness.
• Proficient computer skills, including strong data-entry skills.
• Previous experience dealing with customers.
• Previous work experience in a shipping and receiving role.
• Experience using shipping software such as UPS WorldShip or FedEx.

Responsibilities

• Package and ship equipment to customers and vendors, verifying that accessories and options are documented according to shipping policies.
• Pull and label equipment for shipments to ensure the equipment matches the shipping documentation.
• Receive and unpack inbound orders and account for their contents.
• Research and implement shipping options for unusual packaging situations or customer requirements.
• Receive vendor deliveries and complete necessary paperwork.
• Initiate and manage shipping claims through resolution, maintaining contact with delivery services and affected customers as required.
• Use UPS, FedEx, and WorldShip to generate shipping labels.
• Maintain relationships with UPS, FedEx, and other relevant parcel sales contacts.
• Perform additional administrative or logistics business functions as required.
• As a backup driver, drive a truck or van to transport materials and equipment to and from customer sites.
• Load and unload the vehicle.
• Identify vehicle maintenance needs.
