This opportunity resides with All-Domain Operations (ADO), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. All-Domain Operations comprises multi-domain operations, platforms and logistics, and intelligence operations. HII - Mission Technologies is seeking a Logistics Specialist in our Virginia Beach, Virginia location. This position will support an in-office work schedule. Relocation assistance is available for the selected candidate if residing out of state. The Logistics Specialist supports a wide range of logistics functions across the globe. Develops and reviews requisitions for and manages records of equipment, components, repair parts, and supplies; tracks materials and parts in transit; reviews configuration changes to evaluate the impact on logistics deployment. Supports management and reporting of Government Furnished Property and Contractor Acquired Property to include import and export compliance and recurring inventories. Requirements

  • 6 years of relevant experience with bachelor's in related field; 4 years relevant experience with master's in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant experience
  • U.S. Citizen
  • Top Secret Security Clearance

  • Experience with eQuip Asset Management and Asset Tracking Software
  • Leadership roles with small groups or teams
  • Supervised/worked in a warehouse environment
  • Fork truck driver experience (Up to a 36K)

Responsibilities

  • Controls the efficient flow of goods, services, and information between point of origin through customer placement in order to meet customer requirements
  • Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives
  • Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of standard logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration and related functions
  • Builds relationships with strategic customers through logistics initiatives
  • Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position
  • Oversees and manages all logistical aspects of a world-wide multi-site program responsible for advising program leadership on best practices to ensure compliance while meeting program goals
  • Controls the flow of raw and finished goods, services, and information between point of origin through receipt at the manufacturing site, through to customer placement in order to meet customer or manufacturing requirements
  • Ensures the execution and continuous improvement of logistics processes, such as the replenishment system, data interchange systems, demand management, electronic data systems administration, and related functions
  • Ensures that customer service and time objectives are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to meet marketing and financial objectives
  • Builds relationships with manufacturing, suppliers, and customers through the resolution of delivery issues
  • Integrates market intelligence from operating entities, distribution, transportation, suppliers, and customers to continuously improve competitive position
