About The Position

This position is in support of current opportunities. The Logistics Management Specialist will be responsible for organizing, planning, and executing logistical sustainment operations. This role requires the ability to prepare logistics requirements plans, analyze and solve problems related to integrated logistics support, and communicate effectively with various stakeholders. The specialist will also ensure accountability of property and manage warehouse operations in accordance with relevant regulations. Additionally, the role involves HAZMAT training/certification, operating forklifts and trucks, and lifting up to 60 lbs. A U.S. Government SECRET Security Clearance is required.

Requirements

  • Possess a High School Diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years of general warehouse experience.
  • Ability to organize, plan, and execute logistical sustainment operations in conjunction with guidance form the Chief of the Gillem Logistics Operation Center (GLOC).
  • Prepare logistics requirements plans in support of DACID Gillem and its forward missions.
  • Knowledge and skill in the application for the Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Plan.
  • Ability to analyze and solve conventional problems or conditions that impede adequate and timely integrated Logistics Support assigned projects.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively at levels involving Intra-Army contracts, mid-level officials, managers, and laboratory managers, and professional Army, Air Force, DoD and contract representatives.
  • Knowledge of DoD logistics regulations, AR 710-2, DA Pam 710-2-1, and related DA and DD Forms.
  • Knowledge of Relief of responsibility IAW Army Regulation 735-5.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Management below national level IAW Army Regulation 710-2.
  • Ability to assist in refining internal SOP and all other procedural processes to help maintain appropriate accountability of property.
  • Knowledge of Warehouse and Storage Operations IAW Army Regulation 740-1.
  • Knowledge of DLA Property Disposal Process.
  • Familiar with GCSS-Army.
  • Possess ability to review and analyze logistical problems to prevent work stoppage within warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of Container Management IAW Army Techniques Publication (ATP) 4-12 and FM 55-80.
  • Knowledge of the Command Deployment Discipline Program (CDDP).
  • Have experience with deployment transportation of supplies and equipment.
  • Formally HAZMAT trained/certified to complete required documentation to transport various supplies and equipment IAW DOT 49 CFR, Maritime Regulations, the IATA, AFMAN 24-604, and EPA Guidelines.
  • Ability to maintain a valid state issued driver’s licenses.
  • Ability to operate forklifts up to 30,000 lb. capacity.
  • Operate up to 10-ton box and flatbed trucks.
  • Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
  • Possess and maintain a current U.S. Government SECRET Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in refining internal SOP and all other procedural processes to help maintain appropriate accountability of property.
  • Review and analyze logistical problems to prevent work stoppage within warehouse operations.
  • Complete required documentation to transport various supplies and equipment IAW DOT 49 CFR, Maritime Regulations, the IATA, AFMAN 24-604, and EPA Guidelines.
  • Deliver training.
  • Maneuver in and out of strategic and tactical equipment.
  • Lift and move electronic equipment in excess of 60lbs in and out of classrooms and labs.
