About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Logistics Specialist to support a Navy program at NIWC Pacific. This is an on-site role in San Diego, California, and candidates must be local to the area. The position provides hands-on logistics and material support in a defense environment. The candidate will handle assets and equipment, maintain records in Configuration Management (CM) and Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S) databases, manage inventory and procurement tracking, and coordinate shipping and delivery. The role may also provide integrated logistics support for program documents and execute purchases using a purchase card.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and three or more years of related experience, or a master’s degree and one year of related experience.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Must have an active Secret clearance.
• Must be able to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
• Navy logistics experience, including familiarity with MILSTRIP requisitioning processes.
• Experience with Configuration Management (CM) databases and inventory management systems.
• Must be local to the San Diego, California area.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Navy ERP or similar warehouse management systems.
• Experience conducting formal inventory audits and reconciliation.
• Familiarity with Navy OM&S database management.
• Experience preparing military shipping documentation, such as DD Form 1149.
• Familiarity with Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) documentation and processes.
• Forklift operator certification.
• Experience with purchase card procurement procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical receipt, inspection, storage, and shipment of assets and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records in Configuration Management (CM) and Operating Materials & Supplies (OM&S) databases.
• Monitor stock inventory levels and initiate procurement actions to prevent shortages.
• Track ordered material to support repair and requisition requirements.
• Prepare shipping documentation, stage and package materials, and coordinate transport and delivery tracking.
• As needed, provide integrated logistics support for program documents such as sparing plans, provisioning lists, and technical manuals.
• May execute purchases using a purchase card.
