About The Position

As a Logistics Analyst, you will manage customer data and ensure freight is routed in the most cost-effective manner. You will serve as the primary company advocate for assigned customers, reviewing transportation methods, costs, and optimization plans. The role works directly with customers and their supplier bases, as well as internally across Carter LOGISTEED, to champion customer initiatives. It requires anticipating and solving problems daily and communicating effectively with all necessary parties. The position is full-time and works Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. It reports to the Analyst Manager and has no supervisory responsibilities. An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is required. Candidates preferably have 1–3 years of transportation, logistics, or financial experience, along with strong problem-solving, data-processing, organizational, written communication, and verbal communication abilities. Candidates must be self-sufficient, self-motivated, and able to work professionally and positively in a team environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required, as is the ability to learn new programs as needed.

Requirements

An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Ability to learn new programs as necessary.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Analyze customer shipping data to drive improvement and optimize effectiveness.
Build and review internal or customer key performance indicators, then act to drive efficiency.
Present analytical findings to clients or Carter LOGISTEED’s executive team.
Maintain customer contact to provide analysis and obtain feedback for improvement efforts.
Work with other Carter LOGISTEED departments to initiate savings projects.
Facilitate and lead customer onboarding.
Monitor Carter LOGISTEED’s route network to increase truck efficiency.
Track premium transportation through reporting to reduce future impact.
Work with the pricing department to develop quotes for potential clients.
Provide internal reporting as requested.
