About The Position

DPP is seeking a Logistics Specialist I for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense industry. This is a 12-month W2 contract role located onsite in Vandalia, OH. The role requires the candidate to be a US Citizen and able to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance. As a Logistics Specialist, you will assist with the preparation of logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals. You will support routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, maintain records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals, and track logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities. You will also learn applicable state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements.

Requirements

Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills
HazMat Training/Certification
Familiar with supply chain principles
Experience with inventory principles and databases
Ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems
Ability to operate a Forklift
Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS
Understanding of Shelf Life
Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
A higher-level degree may be substituted for experience.
Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education.
