About The Position
DPP is seeking a Logistics Specialist I for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense industry. This is a 6-month W2 Contract role located onsite in Colorado Springs, CO. The position requires US citizenship and the ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.
Requirements
- Basic Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- The ability to obtain/maintain a Secret security clearance.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Nice To Haves
- HazMat Certification.
- Exposure to inventory databases.
- Familiarity with Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques.
- Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems.
- Ability to operate a Forklift.
- Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS.
- Understanding of Shelf Life.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation of logistics documentation for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals for deployment and stocking.
- Support routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics.
- Maintain records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals.
- Track logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of storage facilities.
- Learn applicable state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements.
