About The Position

MedSpeed is a healthcare logistics company that partners with organizations nationwide to transport medical supplies and specimens. The Logistics Service Representative/Medical Driver safely transports lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials in a company-owned vehicle. The role uses a handheld scanner to track items, follows operating procedures and service schedules, and presents a professional image to clients and the public.

The position is part time in Marlton, New Jersey, with a fixed weekend schedule of Saturday and Sunday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Route duties and assignments may vary based on client and business needs, and drivers must be able to perform duties across assigned routes. The role also involves loading and unloading vehicles, inspecting and maintaining the vehicle, and collaborating with teammates and clients. Requirements

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• At least 19 years of age and an active driver’s license held for at least 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with and ability to adapt to technology.
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug and alcohol screening.
• Ability to drive a non-commercial vehicle throughout a shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent driving history.

• Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds and handle varying item weights and physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a company-owned vehicle to transport medical specimens, records, pharmaceuticals, x-rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials.
• Use a handheld scanning device to track items throughout the transportation cycle.
• Follow operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
• Present a professional image through appearance and interactions with clients and the public.
• Load and unload company vehicles using appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and keep the vehicle clean, neat, and orderly.
• Perform duties across assigned routes and adapt to route changes based on client and business needs.
• Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Contribute to a collaborative MedSpeed team culture.
