About The Position

The Logistics Planner coordinates inbound and outbound freight movements, including shuttle services, for customer orders and manufactured inventory between carrier and consignment locations. The role develops and validates daily load plans, expedites requests, coordinates carrier tenders and delivery appointments, and communicates with internal teams and external customers to keep shipments aligned with customer requirements. The position also supports service and cost performance, continuous improvement, compliance monitoring, and yard and shuttle service supervision.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
0–3 years of logistics industry experience.

Responsibilities

Coordinate inbound and outbound freight movements, including shuttle service activities, for customer orders and manufactured inventory between carrier and consignment locations.
Build and validate daily load plans for cost and service using EFMS, Topex, a TMS system, or Red PrairieRoute interactive.
Handle expedite requests and ensure principal-requested carrier selections are honored.
Ensure carriers receive daily load tenders via 204, fax, or TMS equipment.
Coordinate appointment acquisition to meet customer delivery requirements.
Communicate frequently with DHL Supply Chain transportation, customer support, operations, carriers, client transportation, and client Customer Service Organizations to align direction and expectations.
Coordinate carrier pickup times and provide the distribution center with a daily shipment plan.
Identify and execute continuous improvement opportunities that improve financial performance and service levels and enhance value for internal and external customers.
Identify compliance issues and participate in the metric feedback process; propose possible remedies or action plans to the Operations supervisor.
Supervise yard and shuttle services.
