About The Position

The Logistics Operator works onsite at Wacker’s Polysilicon plant in Charleston, Tennessee, reporting to the Logistics Warehouse Supervisor. The role supports warehouse operations and requires performing warehouse duties using various types of powered industrial trucks and gas- and diesel-powered equipment, including a yard spotter and tipper trucks. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday on day shift and pays $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Forklift driving experience.
Experience interfacing with computer inventory management programs and scanner guns.
Willingness to follow company policies and procedures.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Safe manufacturing experience.
Ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent unrestricted basis; visa sponsorship is not available.

Nice To Haves

CDL Class A.
Two or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

Load and unload trucks using powered industrial equipment.
Pick and stage materials from areas serviced by Logistics according to customer orders.
Deliver and move materials to required locations within Logistics’ area of responsibility.
Follow process instructions and safety procedures.
Maintain the work area and other facility areas to meet or exceed housekeeping and safety standards.
Use computers and scanners to monitor and operate processes, move materials, check inventory, and write maintenance requests.
Learn and follow company policies and procedures.
