Logistics Material Handler - Warehouse Shipping and Receiving - 2nd Shift
About The Position
The Material Handler/Pick Pack person is primarily responsible for the effective operation of the logistics system. Duties will include all material handling responsibilities internal to the facility (moving raw material to the machines, removing finished materials for shipping, etc.). This person will rotate through Warehouse B, Warehouse C, Pick Pack, and EPP on a daily basis. The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to, being forklift qualified and able to pass the MACtac forklift-licensing program, performing preventive maintenance and safety checks on forklifts, picking and packing orders accurately and efficiently, communicating effectively with carriers, CSR's and management, being familiar with PC based computer systems and RF systems, using various forklift attachments safely and efficiently, operating FedEx/UPS equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds continuously for extended periods. The role also involves performing all functions normally assigned to Material Handlers, assisting supervisors with inventory location and audits, and cross-training within the EPP operation.
Requirements
- 3 or more years of logistics related experience.
- Forklift qualified and able to pass the MACtac forklift-licensing program.
- Able to perform preventive maintenance and safety checks on forklift.
- Able to pick orders independently with accuracy and efficiency.
- Able to pack orders accurately and efficiently.
- Able to effectively communicate to carriers, CSR's and management.
- Familiar with PC based computer systems and RF systems.
- Able to use various forklift attachments safely and efficiently.
- Able to learn and efficiently operate all FedEx/UPS equipment.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a continuous basis for an extended period of time.
