The Logistics Manager will be responsible for supervising groups within Logistics to ensure all customer requirements are met. This role involves guiding the escalation process, reviewing and adjusting processes for policy adherence, and managing daily workloads to ensure adequate resource availability. The manager will also lead cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives, anticipate and resolve issues, conduct root cause failure analyses, and implement corrective actions. Key responsibilities include analyzing the financial impact of logistics changes, communicating freight transportation information, implementing customer-specific requirements, managing relationships with TMS/MTS providers and various transportation carriers (LTL, TL, parcel, international), and ensuring timely and accurate reporting. The role also involves conducting RFPs for different transportation modes and visiting local plants to engage with shipping teams.
