Logistics/Maintenance Mechanic
About The Position
Responsible for general maintenance of the distribution center’s buildings and equipment. Work includes plumbing, electrical, HVAC (excluding Freon work), carpentry, painting, and dock door and leveler maintenance. The mechanic demonstrates the company’s core values of respect, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. The role performs preventive and predictive maintenance, diagnoses equipment failures, identifies required parts and materials, and makes repairs to restore production equipment to operation. It also supports spare-parts and tool inventory, facility cleanliness, and office and shared-space relocation or remodeling.
Requirements
- Basic plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, welding, mechanical, and electrical skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions and manuals.
- Skilled use of hand tools and power tools.
- Valid driver’s license.

- Training in facility maintenance, including carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanics.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as dock doors and levelers.
- Repair minor electrical, HVAC, and plumbing issues, along with dock doors and levelers.
- Assist with monitoring equipment process parameters to perform predictive and preventive maintenance, and enter data into the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Assist in monitoring inventory of spare parts, special-need items, and tools.
- Operate computers and maintenance diagnostic equipment, including analog and digital multimeters, pyrometers, and photo-tachometers.
- Diagnose failures, determine parts and material requirements, and perform repairs as needed to resume production-equipment operation.
- Communicate and escalate issues with peers and principles.
- Maintain the cleanliness of equipment, workstations, and the overall facility.
- Perform basic carpentry duties as needed.
- Assist with relocating and remodeling offices, conference rooms, and break areas.
- Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
