About The Position

The Logistics Lead supports the day-to-day movement, storage, and management of raw materials, finished goods, and other products throughout the facility. This role helps ensure materials are accurately received, labeled, stored, tracked, packaged, and delivered to support efficient production and on-time operations. The Logistics Lead plays an important role in maintaining accurate inventory and lot traceability, supporting shipping and receiving activities, coordinating material movement between the warehouse and facility, and ensuring recycling processes are completed safely and efficiently. This position also helps maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while promoting teamwork, continuous improvement, and the company’s KAITEKI values.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in logistics, warehouse, material handling, or transportation.
  • Forklift certification or experience operating a forklift.
  • Experience with shipping, receiving, inventory, or MRP systems preferred.
  • Ability to read and accurately complete paperwork, labels, and specifications.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency with Windows.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple departments and prioritize tasks.
  • Experience driving a flatbed truck is highly preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and driving record in good standing.
  • Ability to follow safety, quality, and company procedures consistently.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain raw material and finished goods inventory in a safe, organized, and efficient warehouse environment.
  • Receive, label, identify, and properly store materials using purchase order information and established inventory procedures.
  • Maintain accurate lot traceability and bin locations within the warehouse and MRP system.
  • Coordinate and perform material movement throughout the facility to support production and other departments.
  • Collect, break down, sort, refine, and recycle materials in accordance with company procedures and safety requirements.
  • Prepare and package parts and products to ensure they are properly protected for storage and transportation.
  • Support shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading materials and deliveries.
  • Operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Transport materials and products between the warehouse and facility using company vehicles as needed.
  • Complete required paperwork, inventory transactions, and other documentation accurately and timely.
  • Monitor inventory and material locations to help ensure accurate records and uninterrupted production.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse and work area.
  • Follow all company safety policies, quality procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Identify equipment or material-handling issues and notify the appropriate personnel when maintenance or repairs are needed.
  • Work collaboratively with production, warehouse, logistics, and other departments to meet operational needs.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and promote a positive, team-oriented work environment.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
